synopsis: present day Hanoï
Twenty-three year old Lien (Tran Nu Yen Khe) works as a waitress
in the cafe owned by her older sister
Suong (Nguyen Nhu Quynh).
She shares an apartment with her older brother, Hai
(Ngo Vu Quang Hai) who is an actor.
On the anniversary of their
mother's death, Lien , Hai and Khanh (Le Khanh), the middle
sister, meet at Suong's to honor their mother's memory.
Throughout the day, an intense complicity can be seen among the three sisters.
They seem to tell each other everything and seek one another's advice on every
subject.
And yet, each one of them has a secret.
Suong's husband Quoc (Shu Hung) is a photographer for Hanoi's Botanical Society.
He travels throughout the country, cataloguing and photographing the native flora.
His repeated absences unsettle the couple's marriage.
They also cover up a secret..
Kien (Tran Manh Cuong), Khanh's husband, is a writer working from home.
A two-day trip to Saigon takes him away from Hanoi and from Khanh..

One month later, following a few temptations, several disappointments, some avowals,
